Bexley began as a combination of faculty homes for Capital University which moved to this location in 1876. It started to take permanent shape in 1906 with the building of several palatial mansions. Others followed and a pattern of elegance was established. Newer homes are smaller but still show the community’s distinction. Bexley cannot expand for it is now surrounded on all sides by the city of Columbus. Driving time to downtown Columbus is approximately ten to fifteen minutes.
Bexley is a suburb of older homes with excellent schools, great proximity to the city, and lots of character. It’s is just East of Downtown Columbus and is home to many of Columbus notable family names. The home prices range from $150,000 to million dollar mansions. Homes in the area have experienced some of the top appreciation in the city.
