Worthington was founded in 1803 and has grown into a well established community yet maintaining its old Connecticut atmosphere. An excellent school system is one of the reasons it is considered a prime residential community. Worthington offers a wide variety of homes, both in style and price range. The proximity to the I-270, outer belt, I-71, and 315 makes transportation to downtown Columbus easy.
Worthington is known for its small town feel and wonderful school district. Worthington’s downtown strip hosts parades, the farmers market, and has specialty shops and restaurants. Crowd favorites include Graeter’s Ice Cream, Old Bag of Nails Pub, The Worthington Inn, and La Chatelaine. Worthington has a wonderful recreation center for residents as well as many parks with access to the bike trails running along the Olentangy River. Worthington is nestled around I-270 at the North and surrounds High St./St Rt. 23 that runs through the middle (North and South). Worthington homes have experienced strong appreciation of home values, mostly due to its top school system.
